  I had my vacuum looked at today at the Taren Point Dyson Service Centre. I had my battery replaced as it was old and had lost its charge. During inspection the service staff member noticed a few other items required replacement. They were replaced and the vacuum is looking brand new. Cannot rave enough about how good the service is there.

  We have a Dyson DC24 and have had it for four years. It has a spinning head which is supposed to rotate to pick up dirt/hair. When the rotating head works it does a great job, however it has exploded three times now, generally after 11 months, and it has been back to Dyson on each occasion. They send it back to us each time promising it is fine and the vacuum now has developed another fault where you cant turn the rotating head off. Dyson deny that there is a problem with this model vacuum. I disagree as this has happened three times and you have to question how much research actually goes into Dyson products. I would not recommend Dyson to anyone as the aftercare service is pretty average, they don't really listen and they are in denial about their products ability. They need to accept that their product doesn't work. Other people have told me the same so despite their good looks I would recommend looking into other brands first.

  Rubbish products and poor customer service
  Expensive stick vacuum cleaner only lasted 30 months...just enough to get it outside the 2 year warranty then stopped working completely.
  Had to wait on phone for over 30 minutes for Customer Service and they were most unhelpful and lacked product knowledgeable but very keen to get me off the phone....told I needed new filter, new body, new.....Basically needed a new cleaner and it was all my fault for using the cleaner too often. Stick vacuum cleaner is not meant as main cleaner even though I only used it less than once a week for a quick 20 minute clean.
  So don't buy a Dyson unless you want to simply place it in the trophy cabinet and show it off to your friends on special occasions.
  So going back to a classical powered cleaner and no it won't be a super hyped-up super expensive Dyson unit.
  In summary Dyson is expensive, cheap plastic design, short life cycle, always something going wrong, poor service but promoted as a high end latest technology product.
  NEVER AGAIN would i buy a Dyson.

  Excellent customer service. The agent put the repaired vacuum in the car boxed up and cleaned. They also gave me an extended two years warranty back to base. ????????????
